Thomas J. Price

Specialist Fifth Class

Thomas J. Price, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Price, was born on 29 July 1948.

 

He graduated from Mount Pleasant (Michigan) High School in 1966 and the Flint Institute of Barbery and was employed by the Mount Pleasant Exchange Barber Shop.

 

Thomas entered the U. S. Army in January 1969.  Upon completion of basic training and advanced individual training, he left for South Vietnam on 10 September 1969, where he was assigned as a finance clerk with the 7th Squadron, 17th Air Cavalry, 1st Aviation Brigade.  While entering his barracks on Sunday, 12 April 1970, he was shot and killed by an individual.

 

In addition to his parents, seven brothers and sisters survived Thomas, Jerry L., David, Sue, F. H., Cindy, Craig, and Kathy; paternal grandmother Mary Price; and maternal grandmother Ostie Lantz.

 

Specialist Fifth Class Thomas J. Price, United States Army, was buried with full military honors on 22 April 1970 in Mount Pleasant’s Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
