Homer K. Kuhns

Homer K. Kuhns was born on 11 June 1929.
Homer was a patrol leader in "Ikeda's Raiders" Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Kumchon, South Korea on 24 September 1950.
Private First Class Homer K. Kuhns is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific Honolulu; Oahu, Hawaii.
Among his awards and decorations is the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, Korean War Service Medal, and Combat Infantryman's Badge.
