Daniel Arnold May

Daniel Arnold May, son of Edward M. and Luella Katherine (Miller) May, was born on 18 June 1942 in Waukegan, Illinois.

 

He arrived in South Vietnam on 11 September 1968, and was assigned to the 9th Administration Company, 9th Infantry Division as a Pay Disbursing Specialist.  Daniel died from shrapnel wounds he received during a mortar attack at Dong Tam, South Vietnam on 17 June 1969.

 

His parents and seven siblings survived Daniel. 

 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph P. May.

 

Specialist Fifth Class Daniel Arnold May, was buried with full military honors in Spring Grove, Illinois’ St Peter’s Cemetery.
